ABOUT
Mission
The mission of Christ's Church is to Love God Love People (Matt. 22:37-40) We strive to minister to the lost and needy, both in our local community, and abroad, ensuring that all may gain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Doctrine
SALVATION
The doctrine of Salvation forms the core of our Christian faith by proclaiming God’s victory over sin in our lives. This truth results in deliverances, healings and restored lives. Whether a new member or a mature Christian, every believer should have a clear understanding of salvation and the difference this truth makes in our lives and churches.
BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
The doctrine of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is our distinctive. This truth explains the passion and power of our witness. Jesus promised His followers they would receive power from on high so that they would be His witnesses. We believe this truth is just as relevant today as our Fellowship continues to take the gospel message around the globe.
THE SECOND COMING
With the world experiencing natural disasters, economic downturns and increasing uncertainties on many fronts, the doctrine of Christ’s Second Coming is more relevant than ever. Believers must rest in the certainty of the imminent return of our Lord and share this hope with others.
THE WORD OF GOD
We believe that the Holy Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are the uniquely inspired Word of God and are without error in the original manuscripts. We accept the Bible to be the only infallible rule of faith and practice for the believer; the final authority for guiding men and women to faith in God and for living a holy life of obedience to God.
THE TRINITY
We believe in one God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the distinction of each person and work of the Trinity, while affirming that they are one in essence.
GOD THE FATHER
We believe that God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, is an infinite, self-existent, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that God concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men and women and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through His son Jesus Christ.
GOD THE SON
We believe in Jesus Christ as the divine Word (or Logos, John 1:1), the second Person of the Trinity, co-eternal and co-essential with the Father and The Holy Spirit (Heb. 1:3). We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate (John 1:14). The virgin-born descendant of David (Rom. 1:3), He had a true human nature, was subject to the Law of God (Gal. 4:5), and was like us at all points, except without sin (Heb. 2:17; and 7:26-28). We affirm that faith in the true humanity of Christ is essential to faith in the Gospel. We believe that the bodily resurrection of Christ from the dead is essential to the biblical Gospel (1 Cor. 15:14). We believe that Christ lived a sinless life of obedience to His Father and voluntarily atoned for our sins by dying physically on a cross as our substitute. We believe that the only mediator between God and fallen humanity is Jesus Christ. We believe that on the cross Christ revealed God's divine love, upheld God's divine justice, removed our guilt and reconciled us to God. We believe that Jesus rose from the dead in the same body, though glorified, victorious over death and the powers of darkness and that He ascended bodily into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father where He is now our High Priest and Advocate.
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Holy Trinity, who is of the same essence as the Father and the Son. We acknowledge and believe in His work in regeneration, sanctification, and preservation of the saints. The Holy Spirit is the person who convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment drawing sinners to Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells the believer, manifesting Himself and distributing gifts to the believer as He wills. We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as discussed and outlined in I Corinthians 12:7-11, are available to the contemporary church.

Christ's Church History
Christ’s Church was incorporated April 1st, 1968 by Pastor Bennie Howard Russell. The church was planted at 6145 N. 36th Dr. Phoenix, AZ 85019.
Following the retirement of Pastor Bennie, Pastor Neil Hill was installed as Lead Pastor in June of 1981. Pastor Neil retired in July of 1992. He was succeeded by Pastor Alan Kirkpatrick who was installed as Lead Pastor in August of 1992.
Pastor Alan felt God’s call to relocate the church to the North Valley. Christ’s Church was able to sell its property to a local Spanish-speaking congregation. They then began ministering to the North Valley by holding Sunday services at Deer Valley Middle School. Pastor Alan retired in July of 2003.
In August of 2003 Christ’s Church voted to have Pastor Todd Kirkpatrick installed as Lead Pastor. He has continued to lead the church on mission in the North Valley. In the summer of 2008 the church was able to begin renting its current facilities located at 22225 N. 27th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85027.
Christ’s Church continues to see evidence of God’s grace as He works in and through His people to accomplish His purposes.
